The Blue Star series is a story about six individuals who wished upon a star before their life ended. They are represented by the following Pokémon, and their respective wishes:
Froslass: Frosslass’ star is based off an orphan girl who wished to have a family. She planned to do so by growing up, getting married, and having children. Her dream never came true as she was murdered under a forest tree. Before she died, the last thing she saw was a blue star, and she made her final wish.
Chimecho: A story about at traveler who loved music. He would travel the world and learn different kinds in order to share what he learned back home. However, one day, the world grew weary of each other, and means of travel were closed off. Travelers like him were trapped, and were never able to go back home. Before he died, he wished to be able to see his family again, and sing to them one last time.
Kingdra: There was once a King so loved by his people, he was treated like a god. Because of this, he was never able to make a true connection with others. No one would oppose him or voice their opinions, and that made him feel very lonely – as no one would be their true selves around him. He learned to express himself through dance, in hopes that others would be just as vulnerable as he. Things, however, never changed. He wished that someday there would be someone that could understand him, but there was no such person.
Gyarados: There was a boy born in a world where he was deemed a monster; it is believed that his kind is what made the world suffer. Even so, he was happy, as his mother protected him from its cruelty. However, one day, the world took his mother away. For taking his only light, he became the monster they wanted him to be. So he burned everything to the ground. When he was finally stopped, and was to be executed, he dreamt to be reunited with his mother again.
Ninetales: A man that has memories of all his past lives, but every time he tries to recall the end of any, he can’t seem to remember. He knows he’s looking for someone, and knows they are special, but in every lifetime he remembers, he can’t remember their face, their name, or even who they were. He wishes that this lifetime he’ll meet this person again and stay with them until the end.
Milotic: Inspired by a goddess of compassion. Her story begins as a princess treated only as property. Instead, she wanted to be free, and left to leave her old life behind. She was saved by a monastery, where she became a nun, to help others that were lost like her. There she became a healer, and was known for her compassion to all those that need it. When she died, she became a goddess, and kept hearing the voices of those suffering. She refused to leave her old world behind and wished to stay until everyone was saved.
